Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are clearing up some of the rumors that have been circulating about Jenny‘s health.

The couple are discussing the speculation surrounding her journey with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and refuting claims that she is bedridden and unable to do anything.

“She is still able to do walking, talking, and everything, and she is not depending completely on anyone or even not on me,” Sumit said in response to the rumors about his wife in an Instagram video shared on Sunday (July 27). “What you’re seeing on some pages—people are posting that she is on a hospital bed and unable to do anything, which is a lie.”

“Jenny don’t like that,” he continued. “We’re still hoping and praying that there will be a solution, that there will be a treatment for this. For that, we are also trying to get to America.”

Jenny provided her own update, adding, “I’m OK. I talk slowly, but I’m able to take care of myself with help from him.”

They also explained they are starting the process of leaving their home in New Delhi.

Sumit said they’re trying to start the visa process.

“We already paid the fees and tried to book an appointment date. After the appointment, we will try to expedite it on Jenny‘s condition. I am required to travel with her and to be there as a caregiver,” he said.

Jenny shared her ALS diagnosis back in May 2026. Her first symptoms appeared in December 2024 when she had a bad choking episode while drinking water. She also had migraines and struggled to swallow pills. Over time, Jenny started to develop speech issues.

Her father also died from ALS about a decade ago, which prompted her to seek out a doctor.
