A Quiet Place Part III release date delayed by several weeks
Paramount Pictures confirmed that A Quiet Place Part III, the fourth installment of the horror franchise, will now debut on July 30, 2027, instead of July 9, 2027 (via Deadline). The change removes the film from a direct clash with James Gunn’s Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, which is set for the earlier date. Currently, Part III holds July 30 to itself on the release calendar.
John Krasinski will return to direct, write, and produce the project. He continues his involvement from the first two films. No casting has been confirmed, and plot details remain secret.
The film will be the fourth entry in the series. It follows 2018’s A Quiet Place, 2021’s A Quiet Place Part II, and the prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, released in 2024 and directed by Michael Sarnoski. Together, the franchise has grossed over $900 million worldwide. The original 2018 film earned around $341 million globally, with Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds playing key roles.
Part II faced delays during the COVID-19 pandemic. It opened on Memorial Day weekend in 2021, earning $57 million over four days. The film ended with $297.3 million worldwide. Blunt, Jupe, and Simmonds reprised their roles.
Most recently, A Quiet Place: Day One premiered in the summer of 2024. It featured Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn. The film opened with $52.2 million and finished at around $262 million worldwide. The story expanded the franchise by showing the early days of the alien invasion in New York City.
