A24 has released the first posters for Onslaught, the new movie starring Adria Arjona. From director Adam Wingard, the action thriller is described by the studio as “a gonzo action horror thriller.” Wingard, known for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, co-wrote the script with his long-time collaborator Simon Barrett.

The two Onslaught posters offer distinct first impressions. One puts Arjona behind a window, weapon drawn and ready for a fight. The second image takes a more unsettling approach, showing The Butcher lurking behind a thin sheet, his silhouette barely visible.

While the Onslaught trailer is going to release tomorrow, descriptions from its theatrical run suggest a visceral experience. Dread Central reported that the footage amounts to “an absolute onslaught of action, violence, and outright ultraviolence.”

The preview is said to echo the crowd-pleasing energy of Wingard’s The Guest, but expanded to a far larger canvas. “The trailer barely pauses for breath, unleashing a barrage of gunfights, explosions, hand-to-hand combat, and bone-crunching brutality,” the outlet noted. “It’s a white-knuckle rush packed with guns blazing in every direction and one insane action beat after another.”

Apart from Adria Arjona, the cast includes Dan Stevens, who starred in The Guest, reuniting with Wingard. With additions of Michael Biehn, Rebecca Hall, comedian Eric Wareheim, and Die Hard actor Reginald VelJohnson. UFC heavyweight champion Alex Pereira features in a key role, reportedly playing the villainous Butcher.

Onslaught is produced by Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett for Ryder Picture Company, alongside A24 and Alexander Black for Lyrical Media. Wingard, Barrett, and manager Jeremy Platt also produce through their new production company, Breakaway Civilization. The release date for Onslaught has been set for September 4, 2026, and now fans await as the posters suggest another A24 blockbuster.
