The Rolling Stones have released the video for “Mr Charm,” a single from their latest studio album, Foreign Tongues. Arriving today, the Henry Scholfield-directed video stars Golden Globe-winning actor Alexander Skarsgård and was filmed in Palmdale, California.

Scholfield has previously directed videos for artists including Billie Eilish, Stromae, Dua Lipa and Stormzy. Skarsgård, whose credits include True Blood, Succession and Big Little Lies, is the latest actor to appear in one of the Stones’ recent videos. Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Melton starred in the clip for “Jealous Lover,” while Odessa A’zion appeared in the video for “In The Stars.”

The “Mr Charm” single release is also accompanied on streaming services by “Bad Luck Hideaway,” a song that had not previously been available on streaming platforms. The track is a duet between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and features drums recorded by Charlie Watts during sessions at British Grove. Like Foreign Tongues, the song was produced by Andrew Watt, who previously worked with the band on Hackney Diamonds.

Released July 10 via Capitol Records, Foreign Tongues topped charts in 14 countries. The 14-track album arrived less than three years after Hackney Diamonds, which won a Grammy Award and reached No. 1 in multiple markets. Foreign Tongues also received five-star reviews from both The Times, which described it as “a career high,” and The Telegraph, which praised its “vitality, wit, richness, energy and joy.”

Ahead of the album’s announcement, the band issued “Rough and Twisted” as a limited white-label vinyl release under the name The Cockroaches. Foreign Tongues was recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, where Jagger, Richards and Ronnie Wood reunited with Watt for the sessions.
