In a rare public appearance, Anna Kournikova appeared in a wheelchair, amid an injury to her foot.

Anna Kournikova made a brief return to the public eye.

The former tennis pro was spotted for the first time in over two years during an outing in Miami, Florida on Jan. 25. In photos, Anna was being pushed in a wheelchair by a woman while wearing a casual all-black sweatsuit and a medical boot on her foot.

The 42-year-old was joined by her and boyfriend Enrique Iglesias’ daughters Lucy, 7, and Mary, 4. Not pictured was the pair’s son—and Lucy’s twin—Nicholas or the Spanish singer himself.

Prior to her recent outing, Anna has otherwise kept a low profile since she posted an Instagram post in 2022, where she celebrated Enrique’s birthday.

In a photo of her smiling while the “Hero” singer kisses their children, the Grand Slam champion wrote on the May 8 post, “Happy Birthday to the most amazing Dad! We super love you!!!.”

After suffering a host of injuries, Anna retired from tennis in 2003, when she was 21 years old.

Ever since, the former athlete has mostly lived a life out of the spotlight. More so, she has kept her and Enrique’s decades-long romance private.

The pair—who began dating in 2001 when she appeared as his love interest in the music video for his song “Escape”—rarely comment on their relationship.

The “Bailamos” singer did however recently share Anna’s reaction to fans getting up close and personal with him on stage. And she doesn’t get jealous when the singer gives them a little kiss.

As Enrique told SiriusXM in May of Anna’s reaction to his on-stage antics, “[She’s] like, ‘Yeah, I’m totally cool. He’s on stage. He’s just embracing his fans.”
