Another Big Bang Theory spin-off arrives, joined by new additions in HBO Max releases this week.

Coming to the platform on August 7 is Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1. The series centers on new parents Georgie Cooper Jr. (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment).

Living with Mandy’s parents in Medford, Texas, and raising baby CeeCee, Georgie takes on a job at his father-in-law Jim McAllister’s tire shop. He’s figuring out adulthood, dealing with a critical mother-in-law, Audrey McAllister, and learning what marriage is really about.

For thriller fans, The Invisible Guest lands on the streamer on the same day. The 2017 Spanish hit stars Mario Casas as Adrián Doria, a wealthy businessman. He wakes up locked in a hotel room with the body of his lover, Laura Vidal, played by Bárbara Lennie. Facing murder charges, he has very little time to work with a lawyer to create the perfect defense. As they dig in, secrets surface about past accidents, lies, and betrayal.

Another exciting release on HBO Max this week is Naked and Afraid: Shipwrecked Season 1. Twelve veteran survivalists are thrown into shark-infested Philippine waters after dark. Caught off guard without a daylight start, they have to recover their gear and make it to land. Separated into four groups, they must last 35 days, collect map pieces from rival teams, and engineer their own rescue.

Also premiering on August 6, 2026, on HBO is Monsters of God. The original documentary series comes from Emmy-nominated filmmaker Eric Goode. It pulls back the curtain on a billion-dollar exotic reptile trade.
