Antonio Banderas revealed where he stands with his ex wife Melanie Griffith today.

If you didn’t know, Antonio and Melanie first met while filming the 1995 rom-com Two Much, and they married in May 1996. On June 6, 2014, they announced that they had separated and their divorce was finalized in December 2015.

Antonio Banderas revealed that Melanie Griffith is still his best friend

“[She is] if not my best friend, one of my best friends,” Antonio told People. “And when I go to Los Angeles, we get together anyway, we got a lot of fun. We laugh and we just… It’s a very healthy thing, and it was very healthy for our kids.”

“But the thing is that when we were as couple, when we separated, we were always very sincere…We came out of our relationship in a nice way that was very important for [the kids] and for us,” he said about their bond.

He also called her “an unbelievable mother.” They are parents to one child together, Stella Banderas, 29. Melanie is also mom to Alexander Bauer, Dakota Johnson, and stepson Jesse Johnson.
