Zack Snyder recently shared a poster for his Superman movie, Man of Steel. The graphic poster is one of a number of throwbacks to the DCEU that Snyder has shared with fans on social media. It drops as DC co-CEO and director James Gunn has also begun to share more promotional material for his upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow.

Zack Snyder recently posted an image of a poster for Man of Steel, and it might be something fans have never seen before.

The director shared a poster for the 2013 movie and wrote in the caption, “Awesome Man of Steel poster.” The poster, which features hues of orange and deep black, depicts the destruction of Superman’s home planet, Krypton. Fans can also spot a spaceship seemingly carrying Kal-El (Superman) away from the devastation and ascending into the sky.

The poster also features the Superman “S” logo with the title underneath that. Although Snyder didn’t reveal who illustrated the poster, a listing on the French Paper Art Club’s website states that it was made by Dan Mumford. According to the website, Mumford said he wanted to tackle the world of Superman differently with this artwork. He added that he was impressed by the world of Krypton, which Snyder showcased in the movie, but was left disappointed by the little screen time it got. Thus, the poster is his way of paying tribute to the significant event in Superman’s life that occurred on the planet.

Man of Steel was released in 2013 and stars Henry Cavill as Superman. The iconic superhero is now portrayed on the big screen by David Corenswet in James Gunn’s DCU. Corenswet will next appear in Supergirl and James Gunn’s Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow.
