Andy Reid is giving Taylor Swift some credit for Travis Kelce‘s strong start to the NFL season!

The Kansas City Chiefs head coach was asked about the 36-year-old tight end’s performance through the first two games of the 2026 season during a virtual press conference on Monday (September 21).

While Andy praised Travis‘ work ethic, he also joked that Taylor may be helping keep her husband motivated.

“I think Taylor, [she’s] putting on 4 hour shows, you’ve gotta work hard too,” Andy said. “I’m sure she kicks him in the butt a little bit there.”

The coach then made it clear that Travis deserves plenty of credit himself.

“Trav worked his tail off,” he said. “That’s the bottom line.”

Andy added that Travis is enjoying the group around him this season and takes pride in making sure he is doing his part for the team.

Travis Kelce Is Off to a Strong Start This Season

Through the Chiefs’ first two games, Travis has recorded 12 receptions for 172 receiving yards and one touchdown.

He had three catches for 71 yards in Kansas City’s season-opening win over the Denver Broncos before putting up nine catches for 101 yards and a touchdown during Sunday night’s (September 20) overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Chiefs are currently 2-0 to start the season.

Taylor has been in attendance at both games to support her husband.

Andy Reid Has Known Taylor Swift for Years

Andy has previously revealed that he actually knew Taylor before she started dating Travis, thanks to her Pennsylvania roots.

“She’s a Pennsylvania girl, so I got to know her before Trav did,” he joked earlier this year, adding that he was happy to see the couple in love.

Taylor and Travis tied the knot earlier this summer after nearly three years together.
