In FBI Season 8 Episode 3, Scola meets his new partner, Eva Ramos, during a case surrounding a man beaten to death on federal land. The episode also reveals details about Ramos’ background, disclosing that she was initially a prosecutor. She then shifted to the FBI’s violent crime and narcotics division, having now become a new member of the New York field office.

In conversation with TV Insider, Martinez shared more details on her character, describing her as “extremely clever” and “witty.” Martinez said, “She moves through the world with a prosecutorial mind. So she’s just someone that’s just a few steps ahead of whatever room she’s in because she’s had to be when she was working on these complicated legal cases. And so I think that’s going to be a very interesting dynamic with Scola. But also I’ll say is that I think she’s someone that has a lot of purpose and joy in the mission of being out with the field and with this team.”

Adding on what could be expected from Ramos in episodes, she further stated, “So she’s someone that kind of is classy and sophisticated, but she has no qualms about getting down on the field, and I think we’re going to see that in episodes and that’s going to be a lot of fun.”
