General Hospital’s Rory Gibson married Alicia Ruelas in Kauai, Hawaii, on Saturday. Ruelas shared a video on her Instagram Stories of the couple flaunting their wedding rings. “Ahhhh! Officially Mrs. Gibson!” the caption of the post read.

Gibson and Ruelas have been together since 2011. “I was 16 and she was 15 when we met,” Gibson told Soap Opera Digest in 2021. He continued, “We actually went to different high schools in Bakersfield [California] and when we met, we ended up having a great conversation. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this girl is really cool.'”

Gibson added that they had “only known each other a week” when he planned to ask her to be his girlfriend. “I did and she said yes. We’re very similar and we easily melded together,” the actor stated. After years of romance, Gibson decided to pop the question to his lady love. He proposed to her in October 2022 at Mākena Beach in Maui, Hawaii. Ruelas shared pictures on Instagram with the caption, “Ahhhh! I’m going to be future Mrs. Gibson… I’m in shock!” In the pictures, Gibson is seen embracing his fiancée while she shows off her diamond engagement ring.
