General Hospital spoilers preview what happens from Aug 17-21

According to the General Hospital spoilers video, Drew is targeting Sonny and sees Ava as a potential ally. He believes she could help bring down his longtime rival. In the August 17 spoilers, Drew tells Ava, “Together, we can take Sonny down,” as they have drinks by the pool.

Ava has plenty of reasons to be angry with Sonny, particularly because he continues to threaten her custody of their daughter, Avery. However, joining forces with Drew could be a dangerous move, especially considering Drew has become one of Port Charles’ biggest bad guys.

Elsewhere, Sonny makes a trip to Pentonville to visit Sidwell. The prisoner reveals that he knew that Sonny would show up. “It was only a matter of time before you showed up,” Sidwell tells Sonny as he visits him.

Sonny, who has decided to leave the mob behind and pursue a legitimate future, is interested in acquiring Sidwell’s assets as part of his new plans. His prison meeting with Sidwell could reveal exactly what Sonny hopes to gain from the criminal and how the deal could shape his future.

The spoiler video also shows Dante and Liz continuing to grow closer, and their budding relationship is already causing problems for those around them. Ric is seen concerned about their growing connection. He warns Lulu that if they fail to break Dante and Liz apart, they could both lose the loves of their lives. Lulu seems unsure about Ric’s plan and intentions.
