Netflix has released the official trailer for Jay Kelly, the upcoming comedy-drama led by Academy Award winner George Clooney and Golden Globe nominee Adam Sandler. The movie is scheduled to arrive in select theaters on November 15, followed by its streaming debut on December 5.

“The movie follows famous movie actor, Jay Kelly, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting both his past and present, accompanied by his devoted manager Ron,” reads the official synopsis. “Poignant and humor-filled, epic and intimate, Jay Kelly is pitched at the intersection of life’s regrets and notable glories.”

Who is in the Jay Kelly trailer?

The video introduces Clooney as the titular movie actor and Sandler as his devoted manager, Ron. The trailer also features a closer look at the rest of its main cast, including Laura Dern as Liz, Billy Crudup as Timothy, Riley Keough as Jessica Kelly, Grace Edwards as Daisy Kelly, Stacy Keach as Mr. Kelly, Jim Broadbent as Peter Schneider, and Patrick Wilson as Ben Alcock.

Jay Kelly is directed by Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote the screenplay with actress Emily Mortimer. The latter will also be appearing in the movie as Candy. Additional cast members include Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Isla Fisher, Louis Partridge, and Charlie Rowe. Following its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, the movie has received a Certified Fresh score of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 43 reviews.

The film is produced by Baumbach, Amy Pascal, and David Heyman. The creative team consists of cinematographer Linus Sandgren, production designer Mark Tildesley, costume designer Jacqueline Durran, and composer Nicholas Britell, along with editors Valerio Bonelli and Rachel Durance.
