Kevin Federline is breaking his silence following news that ex-wife Britney Spears is seeking treatment.

Over the weekend, a rep for the 44-year-old “Gimme More” singer confirmed that Britney had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility. The news comes a more than a month after Britney was arrested for driving under the influence near her home in Ventura County, Calif.

Keep reading to find out more…“Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was,” Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, shared with TMZ on Monday, April 13. “The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it.”

It was also revealed that Britney and Kevin‘s sons Sean Preston and Jayden are supportive of her decision to enter a treatment facility. The program she is reportedly in is 30 days, but a source says she could stay longer.

Earlier this month, Sean Preston dropped “Federline” from his Instagram handle and now uses his mom’s last name.
