Lily Allen is canceling a concert after falling ill.

The 41-year-old singer was scheduled to perform at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand, on Wednesday (October 21), but announced that she was unable to take the stage after contracting a viral infection.

The concert would have been her first performance in New Zealand in several years, and the opening date of the Australian and New Zealand leg of her Lily Allen Performs West End Girl tour.

Why Did Lily Allen Cancel Her New Zealand Concert?

In a statement shared on her Instagram Story, Lily apologized to fans who were planning to attend the show.

“I am so sorry to have to tell you that I have come down with a viral infection and am unable to perform tonight,” she wrote.

The “Smile” singer also expressed her disappointment about canceling the performance, especially for fans who had traveled to see her.

“I was really looking forward to seeing you all and am absolutely gutted to be letting you down,” she continued.

Lily said that she hopes to return to New Zealand in the future.

Her tour promoter, Frontier Touring, confirmed the cancellation, explaining that the singer was unable to perform following medical advice.

Will Lily Allen’s Next Concert Still Happen?

Lily is scheduled to return to the stage on Friday (October 23) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

As of Wednesday (October 21), the Brisbane concert remains scheduled on Frontier Touring’s official website. However, no further update has been provided about whether Lily will be well enough to perform.

The tour is also scheduled to visit Sydney, Melbourne and Perth before wrapping up its Australian dates on November 1.

The performances are part of her West End Girl tour, during which she performs her 2025 album of the same name in its entirety.

Will Fans Receive Refunds for the Canceled Concert?

Fans who purchased tickets for the Auckland concert will receive automatic refunds.

According to Frontier Touring, refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 14 to 21 days, depending on the customer’s bank.
