Moana is making its way from theaters to home viewing!

The live-action Disney movie, starring Catherine Laga’aia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as Maui, opened in theaters on July 10.

Fans looking to watch the movie at home may be wondering when it will become available digitally and when it will eventually begin streaming on Disney+.

When Will Moana Be Available to Watch at Home?

Moana will become available to purchase or rent digitally on Tuesday (September 8) through digital retailers including Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Fandango At Home.

On Prime Video, the movie is currently priced at $29.99 to purchase, though prices may vary by platform.

When Will Moana Stream on Disney+?

Disney has not announced a Disney+ streaming premiere date for the live-action Moana as of September 7.

The animated Moana films are already available on Disney+, but the live-action movie is not yet included with a subscription.

Decider estimates that the movie could arrive sometime in October, based on the company’s recent release patterns, including Toy Story 5.

Fans who want to watch the live-action Moana at home will be able to buy or rent it digitally beginning September 8. The movie will also be released on DVD and 4K Blu-ray on October 6, including a limited-edition 4K UHD SteelBook.
