Strange Darling star Kyle Gallner is set to write and star in the next horror movie from one of Radio Silence’s members.

What do we know about Kyle Gallner’s new horror movie?

According to a new report from Deadline, Gallner will star in the upcoming horror/survivor thriller Man Vs, which will be directed by Radio Silence co-founder Justin Martinez. Gallner also wrote the script, which is set to be executive produced by fellow Radio Silence members Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin alongside Ben Ross and Josh Goldbloom.

“Betrayed and left to die in an unforgiving Rocky Mountain winter, an injured gold rush miner (Gallner) must use everything at his disposal to survive the elements, wild animals and a looming, ancient danger far more terrifying than anything he could imagine,” reads the official logline for the film.

Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Chad Villella, Stephen Braun, and Ross Putman are all attached to the film as producers.

Martinez had previously directed the 2014 supernatural horror movie Devil’s Due, which he co-directed with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. Most recently, he directed the “Live and Let Die” segment in 2024’s V/H/S/Beyond. In a statement on the announcement of the movie, Martinez said that Gallner has written a “fantastic” movie, and that it had everything he loved in a movie.

“Man Vs has everything I love in a survival movie and takes it to another level. Kyle has written a fantastic creature feature and I’m excited to bring it to life for the world.”

Gallner is no stranger to the world of horror movies. His status as a “scream king” is well known, having starred in films like The Haunting in Connecticut, Jennifer’s Body, the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, and more in the 2010s. In the 2020s, Gallner continued his horror stretch, starring in both Smile films, 2022’s Scream, and 2023’s Strange Darling.
