Pia Toscano is going to be a mom!

On Thursday (July 23), the 37-year-old singer announced that she is pregnant. This will be the first child for the American Idol alum and her husband Carmen Educate.

Pia shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing that they are expecting a baby girl.

“Carmen & I are overjoyed to finally share that we’re expecting our precious baby girl this December,” Pia wrote. “Our hearts are so full of gratitude for this answered prayer, and we can’t wait to welcome her into our family.”

Pia also shared a ton of photos from her recent maternity shoot.

While this will be the couple’s first child together, Pia is already stepmom to Carmen‘s five children from a previous relationship.

“I know life is about to change in the best possible way, and while I’m sure there will be challenges, I’m so excited to embrace this next chapter, continue growing as a mom, and finally meet our little girl,” she shared with People.“I’m also looking forward to this new season of life inspiring new creativity, new music, and new ways to share our story.”

“It feels like such a meaningful transition,” she continued, “and I can’t wait to see how this chapter shapes the things we create and the memories we make together.”

If you didn’t know, Pia and Carmen married back in November 2024 in Nashville, Tenn. Married couple David Foster and Katharine McPhee performed “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as she walked the aisle. David actually introduced Pia to Carmen, who is EVP of On Stage Audio International.
