Scream 7 is hitting theaters this week and we have all the updates on the cast, including why several actors didn’t return for the new movie. Neve Campbell, who plays Sidney Prescott, signed on for the project after skipping the sixth movie due to a dispute over her salary. Kevin Williamson, who wrote the screenplay for the first Scream movie and later created the series The Vampire Diaries, is taking over directorial duties for the next movie. The cast for the movie has gone through some major changes due to some behind-the-scenes drama involving the studio and some actors. While some fan-favorites will return, others are not coming back.
