Selena Gomez's family has more than just that same old love.
In fact, her mom Mandy Teefey was overjoyed to see the singer get married to Benny Blanco in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Sept. 27.
"What a perfect celebration for the most kick ass couple I know!" she gushed on Instagram Sept. 28. "The evening couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect! Absolutely flawless!"
And Mandy, 49, was especially touched by who the Only Murders in the Building actress chose to give her away at the wedding, revealing that it wasn't Selena's dad Ricardo Gomez nor stepdad Brian Teefey, but rather her grandfather David Cornett.
"It was beyond heartwarming," Mandy wrote, "watching my father walk her down the aisle!!!"
And for anyone speculating that Mandy was hurt that Selena didn't ask her to do the honor, she put the gossip to rest, commenting on a media report, "This is ludacris!"
Further proving it's all good between them, Mandy went on to welcome Benny into the family, saying that the pair have a "Sunday kind of love."
"All my love to my beautiful daughter @selenagomez and to the greatest son in law @itsbennyblanco!!!" she continued in her post. "It was a fairytale come true."
Selena, 33, previously hinted that she wanted to honor her grandfather for one special reason.
“I am looking to have a special dance with my papa,” she said on the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast in April. “He never got a chance to walk my mom down the aisle because—good for my mom—she decided to go to Vegas and was like, ‘Whooo.’”
Selena added of her mom's 2006 elopement with Brian, “It’s very cute that they did that, but I wanted to give my grandfather the opportunity to have that.”

Selena has been candid about the challenges of growing up in a blended family. She previously told Ryan Seacrest it was "confusing" to her to see her parents—who had her as teenagers—split up when she was only 5 years old.
"I never really understood it. And to be honest, I think I blamed my mom, and I just wanted a family," Selena shared. "Then realizing, growing up, my mom did all of the right decisions."
Still, the Disney Channel alum explained that "it was really hard for me to accept my stepdad" at first.
"I was still really young," she noted. "I was 8, I wanted my family together, and then all of a sudden, I just realized how happy my mom was. Brian took on this dad role, and then I felt like I had the family that I wanted."

Blossoming Romance
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating in July 2023, around Selena's birthday, Benny said on the Howard Stern Show in May 2024.
But they only began to spark romance rumors in late 2023. That December, Selena confirmed the speculation, commenting on a fan page's Instagram post, regarding Benny, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."
She continued, "Why has he been the best thing that's ever happened to me. He's still better than anyone I've ever been with."
The Rare Beauty founder also shared a photo on her Instagram Story of her leaning her head on what looked to be Benny's chest.
