The recent General Hospital episode saw a major character departure after a long-running deception finally came to light. The character’s true identity is uncovered, leading to an emotional goodbye with a loved one before a swift getaway.

Meanwhile, another character comes to terms with the fact that he was deceived, regretting that he shared sensitive information with someone he shouldn’t have trusted.

Ryan Paevey’s Cassius Faison says goodbye on General Hospital

Cody receives Felicia’s message once his phone dries out and powers back up, and he finds out that Nathan is, in reality, Cassius Faison. However, he doesn’t let James know the truth and also manages to stop him from leaving with Nathan. Soon enough, Cassius realizes that Cody knows his real identity, and without wasting time, he says his goodbye to James.

James, meanwhile, asks him why he’s leaving town. Cassius holds back the reason but tells him that he loved him more than he ever thought he could. James watches his father walk away, but Cody instantly steps in and comforts him. Cody then calls Felicia, still in France, and promises her that he’ll look after James. The two also come to realize that Anna’s earlier allegations about Nathan might hold more truth than they initially believed.

After saying an emotional goodbye to James, Cassius heads to an empty parking lot, where he uncovers a vehicle he had stashed away with Ontario license plates. He then pulls out a go-bag from the trunk, which includes some cash and a fake Canadian passport. Taking out his American money and a photo of him and James from his wallet, he tosses the billfold out of the car window and drives away.

When Lucas brings Joe to the examination room, the latter confesses that he felt stupid for confiding in “Nathan” that the syringe he found in Britt’s room only contained saline residue. He laments that Cassius was probably working against the PCPD in the search for his sister. Panicked by Joe’s words, Lucas believes there must be a mistake because Britt wouldn’t have been injecting herself with saline.
