Susan Sarandon and Olivia Colman have joined a highly anticipated TV show. This particular show also stars the Game of Thrones star, Kit Harington.

According to a Deadline update, Sarandon and Colman will be featured in the upcoming thriller, Army of Shadows. Sarandon was recently reported to have been ignored for projects following her political opinions. The 79-year-old is repped by United Agents, Atlas Artists, and Do Mgmt in Italy.

Three-time Oscar-nomination winner Colman’s notable credits include The Roses, Broadchurch, Wicker, The Favorite, and more. The English actress is represented by United Agents and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.

The Army of Shadows cast also includes Alex Hassell, Paddy Considine, America Ferrera, Leila Farzad, Luther Ford, Amara Okereke, Patrick O’Kane, Anjli Mohindra, Ed Ashley, and Zoë Telford.

Army of Shadows is a six-episode thriller series that began filming in June 2026 across Manchester, London, Liverpool, and Paris, per an update from Variety. The narrative is set in a near-future authoritarian British society centering on Berry, a former soldier.

The synopsis of the TV series, according to IMDb, reads, “An ex-British Army officer creates a secret resistance group, dealing with treachery and ethical dilemmas while training young fighters who battle for their homeland’s liberation.”

Created by Ronan Bennett, the story is based on Joseph Kessel’s book and Jean-Pierre Melville’s 1969 classic film of the same title. Lisa Gunning is directing the upcoming drama thriller. Bennett and Gunning are also executive producing the project alongside Paul Gilbert, Ron Halpern, Michael Jackson, Mary-Kathryn Kennedy, Joe Naftalin, and Stephen Wright. Alison Sterling is contributing as the producer, while Tom Courtney is the script producer.
