Taylor Swift is clearing the air on her friendship with Jack Antonoff.

The 36-year-old entertainer and the 42-year-old musician/producer have collaborated on a lot of music over the years, and even won a few Grammys together.

Amid rumors of a tiff between the two after he didn’t produce her latest album, she’s opening up about where they stand.

“Jack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends,” she simply stated to The New York Times in a new interview.

She then went on to talk about their songwriting tactics.

“We established this thing that we love to do, and we call it the rant bridge,” Taylor shared. “It’s basically like stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting.”

Taylor also dished on what they aim for in a “rant bridge.”

“You want this rant bridge to feel the most intense of what that feeling is that you’re trying to establish over the course of the song, and you want it to be kind of a crescendo,” she said.

Taylor and Jack first worked together on the song “Sweeter Than Fiction” for the One Chance soundtrack, and have since collaborated on her albums 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, as well as the Taylor’s Versions of Fearless, Red, Speak Now, 1989. They also worked together on her Zayn Malik collab “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” from Fifty Shades Darker.

For The Last of a Showgirl, Taylor reunited with Max Martin and Shellback, who she worked with on most of Reputation.
