HBO‘s iconic crime drama, The Sopranos, has received a major update. Years after the series ended, this new announcement gives fans another reason to revisit the show in late 2026.

What is the new The Sopranos announcement?

The Sopranos is one of television’s most celebrated dramas, airing from 1999 to 2007. Nearly two decades later, Warner Bros. Discovery is set to release the series in a 4K Ultra HD physical format. The release date is December 18, 2026, with preorders now open.

The Sopranos: The Complete Series – Premium Limited-Edition box set will contain all six fully remastered seasons and 86 episodes in 4K Ultra HD for the first time. This set also includes new behind-the-scenes footage with the creator, David Chase. He also wrote the screenplay for The Many Saints of Newark, a movie directed by Alan Taylor as a prequel to the TV show.

The limited-edition box set also includes the original two-part documentary Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos, along with additional bonus features, including audio documentaries featuring the cast and producers.

The Sopranos follows the story of a New Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano. In the series, he balances the demands of the criminal organization with his complex family life. At the same time, he secretly sees a psychiatrist to manage the stress, anxiety, and panic attacks.
