Turnstile took over the National Lawn in Washington, D.C. on October 24 with a massive free show raising funds for Human Concern International’s relief efforts in Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon. The benefit concert concluded Turnstile’s second North American tour in support of their Grammy-winning album Never Enough. Check out footage from the show—and a full set list—below.

Per the Baltimore Banner, the first two fans in line for the 3 p.m. show arrived at the National Lawn at 5:00 a.m. All told, the National Park Service estimated that around 60,000 people were in the crowd. Turnstile aimed to raise $150,000 for Human Concern International; as of this writing, the show’s official LaunchGood page has raised over $221,000.

At the middle of the set, frontman Brendan Yates thanked the crowd for showing out and supporting their cause, telling the crowd, “We’re so grateful to have been raised by this scene, one that taught us that music not only reflects the artist making it but the people and the world and the suffering and the joy that surrounds it.” He concluded by leading a chant: “Loud enough for the White House to hear it: Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!”

The Washington Monument benefit show marked Turnstile’s biggest yet, but it’s not the first time they’ve played free of charge for a good cause. In 2025, the Baltimore band hosted a hometown show in Wyman Park Dell to raise money for the nonprofit Health Care for the Homeless, a Maryland nonprofit that provides medical care and housing assistance for people experiencing homelessness. They funded the production out of pocket, and the show raised over $35,000 for the organization.

The Saturday show only added to the list of milestones Turnstile has accomplished this year. In February, the band won their first two Grammy Awards, for Best Rock Album (for Never Enough) and Best Metal Performance (for “Birds”). They made history that night as the first band to earn nominations across the Rock, Metal, and Alternative music categories. In August, they released an album of Never Enough remixes, with features from Elton John, Panda Bear, Hayley Williams, Oklou, Slayyyter, Chanel Beads, and more. Just this month, they also made their Saturday Night Live debut, becoming the first hardcore group to play Studio 8H since 1981.

This year, however, has not been without its trials. In March, the band’s former guitarist Brady Ebert was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly hitting Yates’ father with his car. William Yates was hospitalized after suffering “severe physical trauma” to his legs in the alleged attack, the band said in a statement to Pitchfork. The band parted ways with Ebert in 2022, noting in their statement that this decision was made "in response to a consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band, and the community.” The statement concluded, ”We have no language left for Brady.”

Although Turnstile’s ’s Washington Monument show concluded the Never Enough tour, they already have a few forthcoming festival dates lined up. They’ll play Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November, and have also been confirmed to Primavera Sound’s 2027 bill.
