Joy Behar has been missing from The View this week and now, we know more about her absence.

It was announced that she won’t return at all this week. She usually has Mondays off, but did not appear on the show on Tuesday or Wednesday this week. Today (January 29), she’s also not in attendance for the panel show.

The 83-year-old co-host will return next week after not feeling well this week.

“I know you see that Joy isn’t here today. She’ll be back next week,” Whoopi Goldberg told viewers.

She added, “You noticed she wasn’t here. You knew we weren’t lowering her down from the ceiling. But she’ll be back.”

Earlier in the week, Whoopi noted, “We want to let you know Joy is out, she’s not feeling well, so we want her to feel better and get her behind back here.”
