Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway2025 Golden Globes: Adam Brody & Leighton Meester Confess If They Would Ever Act Together
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester know everybody wants them onscreen.
Indeed the duo shared insight into their careers, including possibly costarring on a project while making a rare red carpet outing at the 2025 Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Jan. 5. (See all the stars on the red carpet here.)
"We don't have a dream project," Adam, donning a forest green tuxedo, exclusively told Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Golden Globes, but noted, "We always like to work together when it comes up."
The Gossip Girl alum—who arrived in a dazzling pale green gown by her husband of 10 years—chimed in, noting that "It comes up a lot."
After all, they've shared the screen multiple times, including in The Oranges, Single Parents and River Wild.
"It's true," Adam continued. "Almost everything we do, they're like, 'Would your husband or wife want to be in this as well?"
And while the couple admitted that they didn't have any future projects together at the moment, the O.C. alum added, "We should come up with something that we want to do together.
However, they weren’t just serving looks on the red carpet. The award show, hosted by Nikki Glaser, marked a major career milestone for Adam, who arrived as a first-time nominee as he’s up for Best Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy for his role in Nobody Wants This. (Joining him in the category are Ted Danson, Steve Martin, Jason Segel, Martin Short and Jeremy Allen White.)
Adam’s leading lady in the series, Kristen Bell, also nabbed a Best Actress in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy nomination while the show also earned Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy. And after hearing the news, Adam couldn’t help but gush over the show, which follows an unlikely love story between a cynical sex podcaster and a Rabbi, and his collaborators.
“I’m ecstatic to hear about all the show’s nominations this morning," he said in a statement. "It’s an absolute joy to work with this phenomenal group of people on something we all care about so much. And it’s beyond gratifying to see that audiences are enjoying it as much as we are!

But while the show, which will return for season two on Netflix, follows the early stages of his character Noah’s romance with Kristen’s Joanne, IRL he’s been off the market for quite some time having wed Leighton in 2014 after several years of dating.
Despite the glitz and glam of their rare red carpet outings, the parents of two relish in the normalcy of their life together. And that means embracing the ups and downs as a team.
"We're super, super lucky, and I think we recognize how lucky we are with one another," Leighton told E! News in 2023. "We give each other a lot of respect and time and attention and focus. Like, really put our time and energy into a relationship."
Leighton and Adam aren’t the only couple who put their teamwork on display at the 2025 Golden Globes. Keep reading for all the stars who turned the award show into a date night.
