The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is happening today (July 19), and so is the first-ever halftime show.

The game officially begins at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium, otherwise known as the MetLife Stadium.

What Time Is the FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show?

The halftime show is expected to take place at around 3:45 p.m. ET, depending on when the first half of the match finishes, as well as stoppage time.

Chris Martin of Coldplay curated the show, which will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

From FIFA: “The Halftime Show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a landmark initiative working to raise USD $100 million to expand access to quality education and football for children worldwide. The Education Fund has already raised over USD $50 million, with momentum continuing to build as USD $1 from every ticket sold to FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be donated throughout the tournament.”

How Long Will the Halftime Show Be?

The halftime show will run for 11 minutes.

Who Is Performing at the Halftime Show?

Madonna is rumored to open the show, which will also include Shakira, Burna Boy, and BTS.

Gustavo Dudamel will be conducting musicians from the New York Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

From FIFA: “In a display of global unity, and a moving tribute to Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes, Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the orchestra, which will combine members of these two orchestras for the first time.”

The show will also include the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay, Ghetto Kids, Emmanuel Kelly, Kermit, Miss Piggy and other Muppet characters.

How to Watch the World Cup Final

You can watch the World Cup on Fox and FS1, with Spanish-language broadcasts available on Telemundo.

The World Cup can be streamed on Fox ONE, which currently offers a three day trial.

There are also free trials available through services like YouTube, Fubo and DirecTV. Sling TV offers access to Fox and FS1 in select markets, but does not currently offer a free trial. Spanish-language coverage is also available on Peacock.

This year’s World Cup took place in 16 stadiums across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
