Swiss electronic duo Yello have announced a 15th-anniversary vinyl reissue of their 12th record, Touch Yello.

Released in 2009 on Polydor Records, Touch Yello arrived thirty years into the Zurich-born duo’s joint career. In addition to core members Boris Blank and Dieter Mier, the record also featured guests Till Brönner, Heidi Happy and Dorothee Oberlinger. The new reissue, due out February 28th, will be available in a gold and silver variant.

Founded in 1979, the duo’s breakthrough came in 1985 with the release of their record Stella. The album, which hit No. 1 on the Swiss charts, featured the now-iconic track “Oh Yeah,” which would go on to prominently appear in films like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Secret of My Success. It also became the band’s only single to chart in the US, reaching No. 51 and marking their first international hit. In 1988, the single “The Race” from their album Flag became their highest-charting hit in the UK, reaching No. 7—it would go on to feature in the film Nuns on the Run. Their career collaborators include Moby, Carl Cox, The Orb and many more.

Yello released their most recent new record, Point, in 2020. It soared to No. 1 on the Swiss charts and No. 6 in Germany, also earning placement in Austria and the Netherlands. A documentary on the duo, Electro Pop Made in Switzerland, was released in 2005.
