The Glee reboot is officially happening!

The series revival has been greenlit by Disney+ and Hulu, and will be produced by 20th Television.

This news comes just a few weeks after Ryan Murphy revealed it was in the works.

“Well, funny you ask, because I just finished the script an hour ago,” Ryan told Entertainment Tonight last month.

He added, “We have a script. Brad [Falchuk], Ian [Brennan] and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something.”

Will Any of the Original Cast Return for the Glee Reboot?

Variety reports that there has been no information about the cast, however, “it can safely be assumed that several of the original stars will return.”

Ryan also said, “I’ve been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. It’s very sweet, and they all had a lot of questions, but they all were very enthusiastic about the idea.”

If you are not aware, the original series starred Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr., Chord Overstreet, and late stars Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith, among others.

One of the above cast members actually confirmed they would join, if asked! You can also see where a lot of the current Glee stars are today.

The original series aired on Fox from 2009 to 2015.
