The McRib is coming back to McDonald’s this month, but not everyone will get to enjoy it.

The beloved pork sandwich only returns to the fast food restaurant for a limited time each year. This year, McDonald’s is only sending it to select cities and the six lucky locations have been revealed.

The McRib was introduced by McDonald’s in 1981 and features a boneless pork patty covered in tangy barbecue sauce on a hoagie-style bun, topped with sliced onions and dill pickles.

When is the McRib returning in 2026?

McDonald’s will be bringing back the McRib on October 27 for a limited time.

While we don’t yet know how long it will be back for, past returns have only been for 3 to 4 weeks before it leaves the menu again.

The six cities revealed

People reports that the McRib will only be available in “Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Dallas.”

These are select cities for now and more locations will be announced.
