Sophia Bush is opening up about her relationship with Chad Michael Murray.

The 44-year-old actress and the 45-year-old actor met while working on One Tree Hill and got married two years later.

However, they split after just five months of marriage and there were rumors that he cheated on her with multiple women.

While appearing on Call Her Daddy, Sophia spoke about their relationship, and talked about the rumors.

Sophia talked about initially not wanting to write about their relationship in her memoir, and noted that she prefaced it in the book.

“What felt important to me was to say we were kids. We’re older. We’re all adults. We’re all parents. No harm, no foul. Wish you well. Praise the adult you are. Hope it’s mutual,” she said. “But as a young person in a highly pressurized situation, as a woman, I trusted every single other person in the room more than I trusted myself.”

The actress explained that she then felt it was important to revisit that time in her life as it helped shape who she is today, and says that you should trust your gut and listen to your intuition.

She also revealed that she has since become friends with several women “who the world would probably think I’d never speak to.”

Host Alex Cooper asked, “Are you saying that the people he was cheating on you with are your now…” to which she replied, “A couple.”

Sophia says that she cherishes those friendships and says those women involved are all “bada**” and she is in “pretty decent company.”

“I know the adults we are are completely different people from who we were, but even the child I don’t relate to that he was, like, you did have kind of great taste, bro, and like congrats, you crushed,” Sophia joked.

Alex praised her for not blaming those women or letting the situation pit them against each other.

Sophia joked about his taste in women, saying, “I get it, I actually get it, and by the way, like, I’m open to all people, I get it, hot.”

Sophia and Chad have, of course, both moved on in the 20+ years since.

She recently revealed that she secretly married Ashlyn Harris last year, and on Call Her Daddy, addressed rumors of overlap in her last relationship with Ashlyn.

Chad is currently married to his Chosen co-star Sarah Roemer, and they have three children together.
